I am an Indian Chartered Accountant residing in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. My Sole Proprietorship Firm is basically into the practice of Accounting, Auditing, Income-Tax Return Filing, Financial Consultancy, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Information Systems Audit and other related fields. After Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant on 08/08/1989, I was working in the Industry for six years. In May 1995, I began my practice as an Associate Chartered Accountant and upgraded to Fellow Chartered Accountant in 2002. In March’2006 I also became qualified as Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA), a course run by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, (ICAI), Delhi. In March 2016 I got the additional certification of the Forensic Accounting and Fraud Prevention (FAFP), a course run by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, (ICAI), Delhi.
My sole proprietorship firm, Vikram S. Mathur & Co., Chartered Accountants, was initially registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in August 1990. In the year 2011, my proprietorship firm was merged with Kartik T. Vayeda & Co. Chartered Accountants when I joined them as Partner, and continue to be working in that capacity today.
In a seperate post, I will be sharing about the years that I spent in the industry from 1989 to 1995, because there is plenty to say and this space would not suffice for that purpose. All I want to say here is that I have worked in the following companies:
(1) Ingersoll-Rand (India) Limited (1989-1990)
(2) Crompton Greaves Limited (1990-1992)
(3) Cadila Laboratories Limited (1992-1994)
(4) Gujarat Telephone Cables Limited (1994-1995)
From 1995 onwards, I have been practising as a Chartered Accountant, and even during this time, I have worked for two more companies, namely:
(1) Cip Machineries Private Limited [April'1995 to September'2009 as Financial Controller-Cum-Statutory Auditor].
(1) Gokul Refoils and Solvents Limited [March'2008 to April'2008 as Assistant General Manager (Finance)].
It was during my tenure with M/s Cip Machineries Pvt Ltd that I learned a lot about ERP Systems, as the then MD and CEO, Shri Dipak Amrutlal Khambhayata (who passed away in August 2007) was my mentor and best friend. I have created another blog called CipMach-Blogspot, where I continue to post some newer stuff.
